Cure no More:
Interlopers few
Those ‘steaders knew
And to my advantage
Rode into town and
Peddled I
A plague cure fine
Yet ‘twas but my invention
When added the Lyme
My fingers inflamed
A cure no more
Without the poison
Drained did I
Their coffers dry
These trying times are
Dog eat dog
Or better yet the cricket
A cannibalistic insect
Or man, with conning instinct
