about

In the words of Robert Frost:

But outer Space,
At least this far,
For all the fuss
Of the populace
Stays more popular
Than populous

As the terrestrial world crumbles beneath environmental devastation, international conflict, and crippling fear of a future without guarantee, the idea of exploring space seems to grow more distant. This short album looks at the improbability of exploring the last frontier in the current state of the world (track one), the dysphoria and existential crisis a newly-sentient robot may feel (track two, and finally the perception and validity of exoplanets based on interpretations of the Fermi Paradox (track three).

Lyrics:

We could explore space!
And yet within our tormented sphere
Our myopic race
To a cliff steers.

And yet outer space,

To this point

About Martian colonies--

Exploring space
While Earth self-immolates,

Is more frontier lore
Than plausible anymore.
